Fresh back from a press conference at the Emirates Towers Hotel. One of my favourite hotels in Dubai. Don’t get me wrong, most places here are pretty gorgeous, but Emirates Towers is right up there. Quite apart from it’s unusual and extremely striking architectural design, I love that it eschews the usual Dubai-Gold-Bling style favoured by most hotels. Instead it’s all chrome and dark glass. And the tinkling of the piano in the lobby is such a nice touch. The Chanel of Dubai, in my opinion. Elegant, never goes out of fashion. Other hotels? They’d be more of the Cavalli, Versace, Dolce school…..brash, flashy, but very fun…..
